We consider safety first, as safety is paramount. Globally, elevators transport more people further each day than the world's biggest airlines, and in near total safety. Compared to ANY other form of transport, elevators are the safest form of travel. Elevator Boutique has a perfect safety record.

Against Falls

(protection makes it impossible)
  • Steel Ropes with 88184 lbs breaking strain
  • Over speed sensing safety gear that automatically and mechanically engages in the event of a descent that is a little too quick
  • Burst valve settings on hydraulics that ensure falls are impossible

Against Power Failure

(protection removes trapped passenger risk)
  • All elevators automatically descend to the bottom floor and unlock the door in the event of power failure
  • All elevators have a separate battery supply that keeps the light on during power failure
  • All elevators have the immediate self rescue feature

Landing Door Hazard Eliminated

The dark secret of the home elevator code is that it permits a potentially unsafe situation which has caused serious injury and tragedy. We have proudly eliminated the hazards caused by the 3'' - 5'' rule and supply and install smooth flush landing doors and full height light rays. This reduces the cost to the general contractor and creates a safer experience (Patent Pending)

Door Openings

(falling through an opening)
  • All elevators have FULL HEIGHT LIGHT RAY PROTECTION to the car door openings, the only form of safety protection that permits total protection. Elevator Boutique will never offer elevators with single beams (or 3) protection due to the limb trapping risk whilst the elevator is in motion
  • All elevators have electrical locks that make it impossible for the elevator to travel away from the landing when the landing door is not properly closed
  • All elevators have mechanical locks that make it impossible for the elevator landing door to open when the elevator is not there

Other Safety devices

  • A battery driven siren to call for help if needed
  • A telephone independently powered to phone friends (including our 24 hour service department)
  • Routine checking of the system to Industry standards to ensure ongoing safe operations.
  • Multiple rescue systems are standard. In the unlikely event that someone does get trapped, simple procedures can be followed by anybody at the property to rescue the person immediately, (making our 24 hour rescue system excessive - but its still included as standard)
