[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Sunday 1 August 2010 was a great day for around 80 little boys who love Soccer.

This was the final round of the Lift Shop Maccabi U8 World Cup.

8 teams played round robins and then a finals series. Technically the winning nation was (Australian kids pretending to be) Uruguay followed by Spain and then Portugal.

But, actually, everyone won a cup or a medal, not bad for their first time efforts at international glory. Most importantly, for a large bunch of kids who play sport for fun rather than profit, this is their first ever trophy and they were thrilled.

Lift Shop thanks Maccabi and all the organisers for giving us an opportunity to be involved.

Lift Shop supports a number of junior sports teams. It is one of the ways we enjoy being a part of our communities.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”502″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
