ACCOUNTANT

Requirements

Assist with the management, reporting, data entry and analysis of financial information, ensuring its accuracy and security. 

– High School Diploma or GED Certificate, and Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field  

– 1-2+ years of Accounting or Finance experience

– Knowledge of accounting software and technology, balance sheet, profit and loss statement, cash flow statement, tax returns, QuickBooks, Excel, cost management, management of material and personnel resources

– Skills required: critical thinking, written/oral communication, active listening, organization, analytical and problem-solving, budget management, adaptability, detail-oriented, decisive, reporting, data entry, clerical skills, time management, general math skills

Responsibilities

– Assist management with the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance

– Provide accurate, timely and relevant recording, reporting and analysis of financial information

– Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, reconciliation, cash, job-costing

– Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to processes

– Use tools, software, technology, applications as necessary for effective communication

– Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and maintain financial security

– Ensure all financial statements and records follow local, federal and state laws, regulations and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

– Resolve any discrepancies or irregularities found in statements, records and documents
