WITH SOME very minor re-working of an existing staircase, the loungeroom and a spare bedroom, it was very easy to incorporate a lift and glass shaft into this existing home.

Travelling between the two floors, the optimum design was an adjacent through car configuration and to assist with getting in and out of the lift, a DITEC automatic opening/closing mechanism was also fitted. The cabin included one F41PPS brushed stainless steel look skinplate and one clear glass wall, brushed stainless steel profiles and handrail and a LABIRINT light diffuser ceiling. The doors and shaft were both finished in a matching gloss RAL 9007 powdercoat and clear glass panels.

The owners are very happy, they didn’t want to move and nor should they have to – problem solved.
