IN THIS riverside property, the owner doctor wanted to modify his house to allow dual family living with minimum of fuss. The solution was the ever popular Elfo 2 with an opposite through car layout in our “bones only” structural steel shaft. This shaft allowed for minimal structural building works by others and with a small footprint of only 1550mm (61″) wide x 1700mm (66.9″) deep, a large cabin of 1110mm (43.7″) x 1140mm (44.8″) was still possible.
A range of different door finishes were selected to suit the different levels of the house, some levels had solid polished (super mirror) stainless steel, others had bianco white skinplate with milk glass doors. The cabin itself was fitted with polished stainless steel corner profiles and vertical car operating panel and the walls in similinox skinplate. The car operating panel and the landing stations were fitted with digital DEDALO and ICARO displays for location identification. The finishing touch was an integrated security system that allows controlled access from the property entry gate to nominated floors of the house as well as separation within the house itself.
The Italian heritage owners are thrilled with the end result and were delighted when some of the staff from the Italian manufacturer Elevatori Premontati paid them a recent visit.
