AFTER TWO years of detailed planning, it was a pleasure to finally commission the 3 stop opposite through car E2 and glass shaft at the newly opened facilities in Brisbane’s Spring Hill Mantra Richmont Hotel.

The lift is sitting in an outdoor setting and provides access from the main hotel to the adjacent renovated historic building housing multiple eating venues.

To ensure we had suitable fixations points for shaft stability, a four-sided steel frame was constructed to sit immediately outside our shaft – total peace of mind for any extreme tropical weather likely to be experienced. The undercover roofing between the buildings also gives additional protection.

To best suit the building layout, an opposite through car configuration was specified and a combination of maximum glass, stainless steel and skinplate finishes for maximum appeal. In an environment such as this, an air-conditioning unit fitted to the roof of the car ensures that the temperature will always be maintained at a comfortable level.

Looks fantastic, and was great collaborating with the team from Hutchinson Builders again.
