The design in this case provided for a centrally located lift and shaft with a wraparound staircase. Once again our popular Elfo 2 and powdercoated steel and glass shaft was the unquestionable choice. Attributes such as small footprint of only 1550mm wide x 1860mm deep, pit of 150mm, headroom of 2650mm (but 2550mm also possible), glass cabin walls and doors, full compliance with the appropriate standards and codes, speed at fastest allowable 0.3m/s, cabin ceiling height of 2100mm and only single phase 32A power supply, custom manufacture and short installation times ticked all the boxes for the decision makers.
