AS ALWAYS at Lift Shop, we love working with clients to do something different. Normally, people think glass cabin means glass shaft – well, not always.
In this instance we provided our 320kg, two speed 0.25m/s FreedomLift with one mirror polished stainless steel cabin wall and the other two walls in full height glass panels. The inside walls of the masonry shaft were then clad in a 20mm thick stone to give an awesome cosmetic outlook, enhanced even more by the reflection effect from the mirror/polished stainless steel wall.
From the landings, the view through the anodised aluminium and glass doors of the stone also provides a more interesting visual than would normally occur.
To complete the earthy tones, custom timber flooring was installed inside the lift car to match the surrounding landings.
